UMI Makassar lecturers provide Innovative Learning Assistance
Referring to the results of visits and meetings with Partners, various initial problems faced were: the teacher's learning system was still standard, students were less active in learning, teaching methods were limited to indoor use only.
Dr. H. Muh. Azhar Burhanuddin as Team Leader said that the aim of this community service is to be able to help teaching staff regarding problem solving in the learning system.
The education applied is First, the introduction of multiple learning methods that can stimulate students' creativity, such as wall magazines, portfolios, role playing, students are directed to be able to collaborate.
Secondly, utilizing media/IT in delivering material such as power points, audio visuals, video projects, film reviews, students are directed not just to watch but there are moral messages and lessons that can be learned.
Third, namely the application of outdoor learning such as field observations, practicums, studying under trees, visiting museums/monuments and so on.
The learning characteristics of students vary, namely audio-visual. So the delivery of material must have sound and pictures, one of which is by using an attractive power point so that students can be enthusiastic. Because basically students prefer a learning atmosphere that is fun and not stressful, explained Dr. Abdul Wahab, S.Si., M.Sc.
Next, Mr. Abdul Qahar Zainal, Lc., M.Ed., Ph.D. conveyed that teachers are encouraged to further increase their potential and the quality of their teaching and that a teacher's duty is very noble, namely imparting useful knowledge and that is a provision for Jariyah charity in the world of the hereafter.
The leader of the Tahfidz Islamic Boarding School, Mr. Arham, SE, said that he really responded positively to the community service carried out by UMI Makassar lecturers, the assistance was not only in terms of knowledge but in terms of infrastructure, and so on. This service activity was held in Paddinging Village, Sanrobone District, Takalar Regency, Province. South Sulawesi.
