
FIKOM UMI Increases Digital Competence of Malaysian Students Through Training Programs
KUALA LUMPUR โ The Faculty of Computer Science, Indonesian Muslim University (FIKOM-UMI) shows its commitment to developing international level digital education through training programs held in Malaysia.

This program was implemented at the Syeikh Mohd Idris Al-Marbawi National School (SK), Perak, with a focus on strengthening the ability to use Microsoft Office as a learning instrument in the digital era.
"We apply a practical approach in this training, ensuring that each participant gets direct experience in operating the application. The teaching team accompanies students intensively to maximize their understanding," explained Lukman Syafie, lecturer at FIKOM UMI.
A positive response came from the Malaysian school. Head of SK Sheikh Mohd Idris Al-Marbawi, Junaidah Binti Zainal said, "This program provides important provisions for students in facing the digital era. They now have a strong foundation to continue their technology-based education."
In the era of digital transformation, mastery of office applications such as Microsoft Office has become a basic requirement in the world of education. This program is a strategic step in preparing the younger generation to face the demands of the times.
It is hoped that this cross-country collaboration can be a successful example of developing digital competencies that can be adapted in various countries, while strengthening international education networks.
The teaching team involved in this program includes information systems experts โ Purnawansyah and Herman โ who have deep expertise in the fields of computer technology and programming.
