
INTERNATIONAL DIGITAL CREATIVE SCHOOL PROGRAM: TRAINING ON DESIGNING ENGAGING DIGITAL PROMOTION AND EDUCATIONAL MEDIA FOR SCHOOL COMMUNITIES
UMI Holds International Service: Digital Media Creation Training in Ulu Sedaka Malaysia
Sedaka, Kedah (15 October 2025) โ The International Community Service Team (PKM) of the Indonesian Muslim University (UMI) has implemented a program entitled "International Digital Creative School Program: Training on Designing Engaging Digital Promotion and Educational Media for School Communities" at Sekolah Kebangsaan Ulu Sedaka, Kedah, Malaysia.
This activity, which took place on October 15 2025, was attended by teachers and the school community, who have a strong interest in improving digital media design skills to support school promotional activities and prepare more interesting educational materials.
The PKM implementation team consists of:

- Ir. Purnawansyah, M.Kom., MTA โ Member
- Herman, S.Kom., M.Cs., MTA โ Member
During the activity, participants received training related to the basics of visual design, techniques for making digital posters, preparing educational media for school activities, as well as using creative platforms such as Canva to produce content practically and professionally. The hands-on practice session provided participants with the opportunity to create their own digital designs with guidance from the PKM team.
Team leader, Ir. Huzain Azis, said that this activity seeks to improve the digital competence of educators. "This training is designed to help teachers and school communities produce digital content that is more effective, interesting and meets the needs of the current technological era," he said.
The Ulu Sedaka National School expressed its appreciation for UMI's contribution, saying that this program provides new insights in the development of school digital media and is very relevant to the needs of modern education.
The results of this activity include participants' digital media works, school promotional templates, and training modules that can be used sustainably by schools. This program also strengthens collaborative relationships between UMI and educational institutions in Malaysia as part of developing international networks in the fields of education and technology.
Through this activity, Indonesian Muslim University reiterates its commitment to contribute to the empowerment of the international community through service programs that have a broad and sustainable impact.
