LPkM-UMI Directs Training to SPD/TPD Villages of UMI's Fostered Partners

LPkM-UMI, Makassar โ€“ Indonesian Muslim University Community Service Institute (LPkM-UMI) held Leadership Training, Organizational Management as well as Innovation and Competitiveness of MSME Products for SPD/TPD of UMI's Fostered Partner Villages on Friday (29/09/2023).

This training was also officially opened by Mr. Prof. Dr. H. Salim Basalamah, SE., M. Si as Deputy Chancellor II of UMI. The training participants are Village Service Scholars (SPD) and Village Service Personnel (TPD), who own businesses in the UMI Fostered Partner Villages.

In the speech from the Chairman of LPkM UMI, Prof. Dr. H. Achmad Gani, SE., M. Si said that it is important to include innovation and organizational management strategies so that they can help MSMEs to grow and develop.

'If you want to develop your business, please use unique names or unique names in your respective area that can attract people's attention, unique packaging that other people can be interested in our business,' said Prof. Salim Basalamah when delivering his remarks.

To support the success of MSMEs in this UMI partner village, LPkM-UMI presented the speaker, CEO of 'Trash Mall' Adi Syaifullah Putra, SH., MH, who has experience in the business world ย and has been abroad several times by introducing his business, namely Trash Mall.

'Innovation is adopting or improving something that has been around for a long time but we improve it, we improve it so that it can be better, now this innovation is not only about products but also processes, marketing, business models and the whole series in our business processes, so it's not just about innovating our products but how we innovate our marketing, how we innovate our business model, innovation in the performance of our employees, these are all innovations in our MSMEs that affect our sales'. said ' Adi Syaifullah when delivering the material.

Continued by the Head of the UMI Assisted Village Center, Dr. Suriyanti Mangkona, SE., MM said that it is also important to pay attention to product packaging as an important element in ensuring product safety and cleanliness.

Then LPkM Secretary Dr. Ir. Rustam, MS said that, the product packaging is designed to be simple and simple and attractive by using bright colors to make it appear striking by including data on the legality of a product, for example legality from BPOM, which provides important information briefly, so that the impression of the product is unique and different.

Hopefully this training can have a positive impact on the participants and help MSMEs in UMI's Fostered Partner Villages to progress and develop.
