MA’BICARA (PLAYING INTERACTIVE DOLL TO PREVENT CHILDREN'S SEXUAL VIOLENCE): EFFECTIVE COMMUNICATION MEDIA IN PREVENTING SEXUAL VIOLENCE IN CHILDREN AT SDN 21 SANGGALEA MAROS

Monday, September 8 2025, community service activities were held by lecturers and students of the UMI Faculty of Public Health at SDN 21 SANGGALEA MAROS with the theme MA'BICARA (PLAYING INTERACTIVE DOLL TO PREVENT CHILD SEXUAL VIOLENCE): EFFECTIVE COMMUNICATION MEDIA IN PREVENTING SEXUAL VIOLENCE IN CHILDREN. This activity was carried out thanks to the allocation of lecturer service funds sourced from the Indonesian Muslim University Community Service Institute (LPkM UMI). This activity was chaired by Nurgahayu., SKM., MM and members Linda Hardianti Saputri., S.ST., M.Kes involving two students Siti Nur Azizah and Wa Ode Sabrina Marsya. This activity is based on cases of sexual violence in early childhood. Sexual violence is a threat to young children.

Children are individuals who are still very innocent and innocent. This is what causes children to easily become victims of sexual violence. This activity was also carried out as a form of participation by lecturers, students and LPkM UMI institutions to play an active role in society in efforts to prevent sexual violence against children. The aim of this activity is to increase female students' knowledge about body parts and private areas of the body that cannot be touched by other people through interactive dolls, increase the independence of grade 1 and 2 female students in bathing, clean their private areas and wear their own clothes, increase female students' knowledge about sexuality to avoid sexual violence against female students, and improve teachers' skills in providing sexual education to school children.

Children at an early age are the targets of the activity, namely students in grades 1 and 2 of elementary school to equip themselves about sexual crimes that can happen to anyone and at any time. This is based on the threat to young children. Children are individuals who are still very innocent and innocent. This is what causes children to easily become victims of sexual violence. Sexual violence has a big impact on adults and can even be a lifelong trauma. This activity also involves not only students but also teachers as their companions while they are in the school environment.
This activity was welcomed by the SDN 21 Sanggalea Maros school, from the Principal, Teachers, Academic Staff to elementary school students who were very enthusiastic about this activity. The school even considers this activity to be able to build a healthier, safer and more innovative educational ecosystem. Because this activity provides education through games, videos and songs which makes the atmosphere of the activity more interesting for elementary school students.
