SOCIAL ENTREPRENEURIAL TRAINING FOR THE YOUNG GENERATION OF ASEAN: IMPACT-ORIENTED SUSTAINABLE BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT IN KUALA LUMPUR

Makassar – 28 August 2025 Indonesian Muslim University (UMI) has again demonstrated its commitment to building a strong and globally competitive young generation through internal service activities entitled Social Entrepreneurial Training for the ASEAN Young Generation: Impact-Oriented Sustainable Business Development. This activity was carried out as part of UMI's efforts to encourage the birth of young social entrepreneurs who are able to answer the challenges of the times with sustainable business solutions and have a positive impact on society.

This training was attended by dozens of participants consisting of students from across faculties, young alumni, and representatives of youth communities from ASEAN countries. During the activity, participants were equipped with practical knowledge and skills regarding the concept of social entrepreneurship, strategies for building sustainable businesses, as well as approaches based on social and environmental impacts.

According to Dr. Muhammad Nur, SE., M. Ak in his presentation as head of service, said that the young generation is not only academically intelligent, but also has social sensitivity and an innovative spirit. "We want to form ASEAN youth who are able to become agents of change through business that not only pursues profits, but also provides real benefits to society and the environment," he said.

This service activity received wide appreciation from participants and institutional partners. UMI hopes that similar activities can continue to be held regularly and expand their reach to more youth communities in the ASEAN region.
