Lesson Study Based Ice Breaking Training for MA Wihdatul Ulum Teachers: Building Active and Interactive Classes

Two lecturers from the Faculty of Letters, Indonesian Muslim University, Rizkariani Sulaiman, S.Pd., M.Pd. and Ihramsari Akidah, S.Pd., M.Pd., together with students, held a community service program in the form of "Lesson Study Based Ice Breaking Application Training." This program is supported by the Community Service Institute (LPkM) of the Indonesian Muslim University.

This training aims to improve the abilities of teachers at MA Wihdatul Ulum, Gowa, South Sulawesi, in creating a more active and interactive learning atmosphere. By combining lecture, discussion, simulation and direct practice methods, this training helps teachers understand and apply ice breaking techniques in the teaching and learning process. A total of 25 teachers participated in this activity enthusiastically to learn innovative ways to liven up the classroom atmosphere while increasing student participation. Through simulations, teachers try various ice breaking techniques and discuss how to apply them effectively.

As a result, this training succeeded in increasing teachers' understanding of the importance of active student participation, thus supporting the creation of a more dynamic and enjoyable classroom atmosphere.

Apart from that, this activity also gave birth to the Lesson Study for Learning Community (LSLC), which is a forum for teachers to share experiences, reflect and develop solutions to improve the quality of learning. With LSLC, teachers at MA Wihdatul Ulum can continue to evaluate and update their teaching strategies, creating sustainable learning innovations to advance education at the school.
