TRAINING ON THE USE OF PLASTIC SPOONS INTO A CRAFTS TO INCREASE THE CREATIVITY AND INCOME OF THE PADANGLAMPE PANGKEP VILLAGE COMMUNITY

Pangkep, South Sulawesi— The service team from the Faculty of Economics and Business is again implementing one of the Tri Dharmas of Higher Education by carrying out community service (PKM) in Padanglampe Village, Pangkep Regency by targeting PKK women and the Padanglampe village community as service partners with the theme Training on the use of plastic spoons as a craft to increase creativity and community income.

This activity took place on Thursday 16 October 2025 at the Padanglampe Village office and was attended by around 30 participants. The service team consists of 2 lecturers, namely Musliha Shaleh, SE., M.Ak., Ak., CA as team leader from the Faculty of Economics and Business, Accounting Department and Munawir Nasir, SE., MM as a team member from the management department. This service activity aims to provide educational training about handling waste from plastic waste as well as an effort to stimulate community creativity in managing waste into something of economic value.

According to Musliha, this activity was carried out because we saw the reality on the ground that there are still many people who are not aware of the dangers of plastic waste, therefore we hope that people can understand and understand the use of plastic spoons as crafts to produce something of economic value and be able to develop creativity and better income.

In this activity, participants were given an understanding of the importance of knowing the dangers of plastic waste which is very difficult to decompose, one of which is plastic spoons, where this waste can be processed into something useful and can even increase people's income. And it can hone creativity by utilizing plastic waste into items that can be used and utilized in everyday life.

Participants were very enthusiastic about taking part in this activity where the participants were dominated by mothers who were very enthusiastic about participating in the activity from start to finish, starting from providing materials to practicing crafts from plastic spoons.

"Thank you for holding this very useful activity and giving us space to develop our knowledge and creativity in making crafts into useful items, we hope that there are still very useful activities that can continue to be carried out in our village," said one of the PKK women in closing this activity.
