Empowerment is a concept of giving greater responsibility to people or society about how to do work.

Empowerment will be successful if it is carried out by entrepreneurs, institutional leaders and groups in a structured manner by building a good work culture.
The concept of empowerment is closely related to the meaning of community development and development that relies on society.

Community empowerment is a social welfare development problem that is related to various other areas of development which are characterized by unemployment, poverty, underdevelopment and helplessness.

Therefore, people who are in the poor category are a major national problem whose overcoming must be carried out as soon as possible and become a top priority in the implementation of social welfare development.

The reason the young generation does not maximize their potential is due to a lack of knowledge and lack of motivation for them as well as inadequate availability of facilities and infrastructure.

In response to this, Lecturers at the Faculty of Economics and Business, FEB, Indonesian Muslim University, UMI Makassar, conducted PKM Community Empowerment Training. According to Dr. Arifin, MP. Lecturer at the Faculty of Economics and Business, UMI Makassar with Dr. H. Muhammad Syafi'i Basalama. SE., MM said, activities which are part of the implementation of the Tri Dharma of Higher Education, namely community service, will be held on November 22 2025 with the theme PKM Community Empowerment Training and Santri Creativity through the productive economy of the Mizanul Ulum Islamic Boarding School, Sanrobone Village, Sanrobone District, Takalar Regency

Community empowerment efforts must be increased to create conditions that can encourage community capabilities and increase creativity to obtain and utilize economic, social and political rights in order to increase prosperity and independence.

Therefore, no matter how small the opportunity, it must be utilized well so that social dynamics are directed towards positive goals and results, especially in the economic field.

Partner Problems
Mizanul Ulum Islamic Boarding School, Sanrobone Village, Sanrobone District, Takalar Regency with a total of ± 200 students at the Aliyah (SMU) level.This number has the potential to be fostered through Empowerment and Creativity Training through the productive economy because their problems include, among other things, their knowledge, skills and creativity are still very low in the productive economic sector so they need to be empowered through Empowerment Training.The potential, talents and interests of the students have not been channeled optimally.

The aim of this activity includes providing skills training to students in the context of empowering a productive, Islamic boarding school-based economy at the Mizanul Ulum Sanrobone Islamic Boarding School.

Encouraging the creativity of students so that they have the knowledge and skills to be able to work independently and build awareness to utilize their own potential and the potential of natural resources and Islamic boarding school resources. Through this activity, it is hoped that students will have the awareness to develop their potential and build a productive economy based on Islamic boarding schools.
