
Training on making pine tea and strengthening PKK ICT resources in Lanna Village, Parangloe District, Gowa Regency
Gowa – A team of Indonesian Muslim University (UMI) lecturers carried out Community Service (PKM) activities, namely making pine tea to utilize the resources around Lanna village. This activity was chaired by Dr. H. Muhammad Syafii A. Basalamah, SE., MM. And member Prof. Dr. Sukmawaty, SE., M.M and Subhan, SE., M. Ak.
In the material presented, Prof. Sukmawaty said that strengthening the capacity for making pine tea was to utilize the resources around Lanna village so that it was hoped that it would contribute specifically to increasing income and strengthening resource management in Lanna village.
Through this training, the participants were equipped with the knowledge of how to make tea from pine seeds with a special flavor which Mamou hopes will become a superior product for Lanna village. Apart from making pine tea, they also taught the importance of sustainable business planning and efficient business development strategies.
The head of the partner group expressed his appreciation to the UMI PKM team for this activity. He emphasized that this training was very useful because it helped PKK members utilize the surrounding resources, namely pine seeds, to process them into goods of economic value and understand the importance and structured management of resources.
This activity ended with an interactive discussion session and a simulation of making pine tea by team members from FEB UMI students. The participants showed high enthusiasm and hoped that similar activities could be carried out on an ongoing basis to support capacity building.
