
Empowering MSMEs through Halal Lottery and Online Marketing Assistance
September 4 2025 โ The Community Service Team carried out an activity entitled "Empowering MSMEs through Halal Literacy and Online Marketing Assistance" in collaboration with MSME Sejahtera Bersama partners located in Mandai District, Maros Regency. This activity is part of the university's efforts to strengthen the capacity of MSMEs so they can increase their competitiveness through understanding halal standards and mastering digital marketing techniques.
The activity was opened by the Head of the Service Team, Dr. Syarifa Raehana, M.Ag. who in his speech emphasized the importance of halal literacy as a foundation for culinary and other consumer product entrepreneurs. He also delivered main material related to the basic principles of halal products, production processes that comply with standards, as well as the urgency of halal certification to increase consumer confidence in the open market era.
Also present was the Head of Hasanuddin Village, Mashabi Ruhing, SE. who gave a speech and expressed appreciation for the implementation of this program. In his speech, he emphasized that this kind of assistance is really needed by MSME players in the Mandai area to strengthen product quality while expanding market access.
The next material was delivered by members of the service team, Umu Kalsum, S. ST., M. Ak. which focuses on online marketing strategies. Participants are given an understanding of the use of social media, creating interesting promotional content, using marketplace platforms, as well as simple techniques for increasing product visibility digitally.
In this activity, the service team also involved two students who contributed documentation, technical assistance, and helped participants practice using digital devices during the training session.
Through this activity, it is hoped that MSME players in Mandai District will be able to improve business quality, expand their marketing network, and be better prepared to face the demands of halal regulations and the development of an increasingly competitive digital market.
