Assistance with Child Development Methods for Families Around Babut Taqwa in the Mangga Tiga Permai Housing Complex, Makassar City

The service team from the UMI Islamic Faculty provided assistance. Methods for developing children around the Babut Taqwa Mosque, led by Dr. Hj. Nuraeni Abdullah, M.Ag with members of a team of lecturers (Subaedah, Andi Hasriani) and students (Aldana Agni Batari, Nur Husnul Khatimah) with the theme PkM Training Mentoring Mentoring Child Development Methods for Families Around the Babut Taqwa Mosque in the Mangga Tiga Permai Housing Complex, Makassar City. The assistance will be carried out on September 3 – 17 2024.

Nuraeni Abdullah as head of the PkM ptem stated that mentoring aims to increase parents' sense of responsibility in their children's religious spiritual formation and provide insight into methods of children's religious spiritual formation starting from when the child is in the womb until adolescence. Assistance material related to 1. Responsibilities of Parents towards Children; 2. Methods for developing the basics of religion in children; 3. Development Methods for children aged zero to toddlers; 4. Development Methods for school age children up to teenagers; 5. Methods for anticipating juvenile delinquency; 6. Methods for dealing with juvenile delinquency. Apart from this material, examples of good prayers are also given for parents to practice in order to develop their children's religious spirituality.

The activity was carried out with financial assistance from the UMI Waqf Foundation through the Community Service Institute (LPkM) Indonesian Muslim University (UMI) Makassar and with the participation of the Head of Babut Taqwa Mosque Construction, H. Hilal Razah, S.H.
