Assistance in Preparing Academic SOP Documents to Increase the Capacity and Quality of Education Management at MTs Wihdatul Ulum Bontokassi Parangloe

Monday, December 3 2024, the UMI community service team carried out activities to assist in the preparation of academic service SOP documents at the Wihadul Ulum Madrasah Tsanawiyah (MTs) in Bontokassi Village, Parangloe District, Gowa Regency. These service activities aim to improve academic services that have operational standards that are in accordance with the quality assurance system. The assistance activity for preparing academic SOP documents was directly attended by Madrasah Tsanawiyah (MTs) Wihadatul Ulum and the deputy head of curriculum, student affairs, facilities and infrastructure as well as the Head of Administration (KTU).

Wihadatul Ulum Madrasah Tsanawiyah (MTs) was very enthusiastic about participating in this activity because understanding academic SOPs is very important in improving academic services. Apart from that, the SOP has a positive impact on the Internal Quality Assurance System (SPMI) for Wihadatul Ulum Madrasah Tsanawiyah (MTs).

The implementation of the academic SOP document preparation activity was carried out on the initiative of the UMI community service team which was chaired directly by Muhajir, S.S., M.Pd., Ph.D. whose members are Muhammad Syahrul, S.Pd., M.Pd. and Ihramsari Akidah, S.Pd., M.Pd. Apart from that, the implementation team also involved 2 (two) students who became companions and also assisted technically in the activities of preparing academic SOP documents at Madrasah Tsanawiyah (MTs) Wihadtul Ulum.

Madrasah Tsanawiyah (MTs) Wihadul Ulum, Hasmawati, S.S., S.Pd., M.Pd. who is also the Head of the Madrasah (Kamad) really appreciates the initiation of this activity. He hopes that activities like this can continue to be encouraged. "This is done to have a positive effect in developing educational services, especially academics, especially in our schools," he said.

Furthermore, the Head of Administration (KTU) MTs Wihdatul Ulum also did not forget to thank the UMI Community Service team for sharing knowledge in preparing academic SOPs which is one of the important documents in meeting the needs of the quality assurance system.

The assistance activity for preparing academic SOPs began with a discussion between the Community Service team lecturers and the madrasah regarding the documents that must be prepared by the madrasah in completing each type of SOP document, so that in its implementation it takes quite a long time to complete each type of SOP. In this activity, the UMI Community Service team has provided assistance in preparing 10 (ten) academic SOP documents.

This community service program is actually part of the implementation of the commitment of the UMI campus, represented by the lecturers, in realizing synergy and cooperation with the community.
