Processing Purebred Chickens for the PKK Group in Bontomangngiring Village, Bulukumpa District, Bulukumba Regency

Bontomangngiring Village. Bulumkumba Sunday, 14 September 2025 Located in Batu HamletLapiri Bontomangngiring Village UMI Lecturers held a PKM activity: Processing Purebred ChickensFor the PKK Group, Bontomangingiring Village, Bulukumpa District, RegencyBulukumba.

The implementation of the activity begins with a pre-test to determine the initial level of knowledgeparticipants regarding the processing of purebred chickens into ready-to-eat and valuable food productseconomical and has a high resale value. After that, participants receive educational material, andhow to process purebred chickens as well as practices and demonstrations until they become ready-to-eat products.

Head of the implementation team, Dr. Ismail H.A, SE., M.Si accompanied by members Dr. Imran Tajuddin, SE.,M.Si, and Rasya Islami student elements Dwi Julitha and Ragil Prasetyo deliveredthat this activity aims to empower PKK women in the economic sectorcreative, practicing how to process purebred chickens into chicken nuggets and shredded chickenChicken and shredded chicken are valuable products to sell and open up small business opportunitiesmiddle class, as well as supporting food security.

Apart from educational activities, the team also handed over several educational supporting assets to partiesThe PKK group includes pressure cookers, cooper food processors, blenders and toolsfrying. It is hoped that these assets can be utilized by the PKK groupBontomangngiring to support the sustainability of the purebred chicken processing program inBontomangngiring PKK group.

Welcomed this PKM activity by presentingPKM participants were 25 people and gave positive appreciation and assessed the activityThis not only broadens the PKK group's insight into processing purebred chickens, butis also a real step in cultivating an entrepreneurial spirit so that it can becomebusiness opportunities that can help improve the community's economy.
