PKM Educates on the Impact of Pesticides and Checks Pesticide Content in Farmers' Drinking Water Sources

 

With the assistance of the Indonesian Muslim University Community Service Institute, UMI FKM lecturers were assigned to carry out activities in the Community Partnership Program (PKM) in Borisallo's Assisted Villages. The service with the title "PKM Educates on the Impact of Pesticides and Checks Pesticide Content in Farmers' Drinking Water Sources" was held on Saturday, November 2 2024, at the Borisallo Village Office.


As the chief organizer of the activity, Dr. Abdul Gafur, SKM, Mkes, explained the bad effects of pesticides on health. Counseling participants were very interested in the knowledge provided. This was shown by the number of participants who wanted to ask questions. Apart from that, Dr. Dr. Sri Julyani, M.Kes, explained how to use PPE to prevent diseases caused by pesticides and how to use PPE. The activity implementation team also checked the pesticide content in the Perani clean water sources, involving students.
