
PKM Education on Prevention and Detoxification of Pesticide Exposure to Farmers Through Micronutrient Supplementation
Apart from education and research, another Tri Dharma of higher education is community service. Indonesian Muslim University as a tertiary institution, carries out service in the Community Partnership Program (PKM) in Assisted Villages through the UMI Community Service Institute. Lecturers who are involved in the health sector, were appointed as the implementing team to carry out service with the theme "PKM Education on Prevention and Detoxification of Pesticide Exposure to Farmers Through Micronutrient Supplementation." This activity was carried out as outreach to farmers at the Borisallo Village Office on November 2 2024.
โจThe head of the activity implementation team, Nasruddin Syam, SKM, M.Kes, explained how micronutrient supplements can prevent the negative impacts of pesticides. Dr. Arni Isnaini Arfah, M.Kes, member of the implementation team, also explained the types of micronutrients that can increase the body's immunity and other rich sources of micronutrients that are available in the environment around his house. This activity received great attention from the community, especially farmers.
