PKM Training on the Use of Artificial Intelligence (AI) Learning Technology to Improve Students' Digital Literacy Abilities

UMI Lecturers from PGMI Study Program and Accounting Study Program Hold Training on the Use of AI-Based Learning Technology for MIN 2 Makassar Students

Makassar — ​​The Indonesian Muslim University (UMI) Lecturer Team from the Madrasah Ibtidaiyah Teacher Education Study Program (PGMI) and the Accounting Study Program carried out collaborative activities in the form of Training on the Use of Artificial Intelligence (AI) Learning Technology for MIN 2 Makassar students, on (fill in the date of the activity). This activity is a form of implementation of the Tri Dharma of Higher Education, especially community service in increasing the digital literacy of madrasah students.

This training aims to equip students with basic understanding and skills in utilizing artificial intelligence technology as a medium to support the learning process. Through this activity, students are introduced to various AI-based applications and platforms that can help them in carrying out assignments, understanding material, making summaries, and producing simple learning media creatively.

The activity coordinator, (Muhammad Syahrul, S.Pd., M.Pd. explained that the ability to utilize AI technology is an important need for the current generation of students. "AI is not just a tool, but a new learning resource that can make students more creative, efficient and independent. Through this training, we hope that MIN 2 Makassar students will be able to use technology wisely and productively," he said.

The training sessions are packaged interactively, starting with an introduction to basic AI concepts, demonstrations of learning support applications, to direct practice using the devices that have been prepared. Students' enthusiasm was visible when they tried to create automatic presentations, utilized AI to complete exercises, and experimented with artificial intelligence-based educational image creation features.

The Head of MIN 2 Makassar expressed his high appreciation for the initiative and contribution of the membersUMI lecturer. According to him, this activity is in line with the madrasah's efforts to improvedigital competence and student readiness in the modern learning era. “This kind of supportreally helps us in introducing new technology to students. Hopefully cooperation"This can continue into subsequent programs," he said.

The activity ended with a group photo session and a presentation of appreciation from the madrasah toUMI lecturer team. Through this technology-based training, UMI reaffirms its commitmentin supporting educational transformation that is adaptive and oriented towards the future.
