LPkM-UMI Batch 72 UMI KKN Coordination Meeting with All WD 1 within the Scope of UMI
LPkM-UMI, Makassar – Indonesian Muslim University Community Service Institute (LPkM-UMI) held a coordination meeting for UMI KKN Batch 72 for the Odd Semester Period of FY 2023/2024. on Tuesday (03/10/2023).
This coordination meeting was chaired by Mr. Prof. Dr. H. Achmad Gani, SE., M. Si as Chair of LPkM UMI and accompanied by LPkM Secretary Dr. Ir. Rustam, MS and Head of the LPkM KKN Center Ir. Muh. Yusri Lukman, ST., MT., Ph. D. Presented by Deputy Deans I within the scope of UMI or their representatives.
The coordination meeting that was held discussed several important points related to the implementation of Real Work Lectures (KKN) for the odd semester period of the 2023/2024 academic year. Some of the matters discussed at the meeting included:
Implementation dateThematic KKN: To avoid disruption from the political campaign period which will begin at the end of October, it was decided to advance the implementation of thematic KKN before October 28. This decision aims to ensure that the KKN process can run smoothly without being disturbed by political events that might affect student security and comfort.
Hybrid Lecture Mechanism: When implementing regular KKN and professional KKN, a hybrid lecture mechanism will be implemented. This may mean a combination of online and face-to-face learning, depending on the prevailing security and health situation at that time. This is done to ensure continuity of student learning during KKN.
Supervisors: Details regarding supervisors for students who will carry out KKN are also discussed at the meeting. Supervisors have an important role in accompanying and guiding students during the implementation of KKN, so it is necessary to determine the appointment mechanism and their roles and responsibilities.
Notification to All Students: The results of the coordination meeting will immediately be conveyed to all faculties within the Indonesian Muslim University (UMI) to inform all students who will carry out KKN. This information includes important points related to debriefing, the schedule for implementing thematic and professional KKN as well as the mechanism for implementing lectures during the KKN.
Thus, the meeting was the first step in ensuring that the implementation of KKN ran smoothly, safely and in accordance with the needs and situation at that time. Students who will carry out KKN are expected to pay attention to the information that will be conveyed by the faculty and be prepared to follow the implementation mechanisms that have been determined.
