UMI lecturer team: Empowering the Sandrobone Village PKK Group in the Production of Instant Fruit and Vegetable Jelly Based on Balanced Nutrition to Prevent Stunting

Ministry of Education, Culture, Research and Technology through the “DiktisaintekImpact” in collaboration with the UMI Community Service Institute (LPkM).Makassar held community service activities in Sanrobone Village, DistrictSanrobone, Takalar Regency.

This activity was carried out together with the Sanrobone Village PKK with a focus on processinginstant fruit and vegetable jelly based on balanced nutrition as an innovation to prevent stunting.Representative of the service team, Apt. Virsa Handayani, M.Farm., expressed her appreciation toSanrobone Village Government and the PKK Mobilization Team for their active involvement in activitiesthe. He also encouraged residents, especially mothers, to use garden productsand home gardens as a nutritious complementary food ingredient to reduce numbersstunting.

This event was also attended by the Head of Sanrobone Village, Abd. Azis Maluddin, S.Sos., M.M.,Secretary of Suwardi Village, and Chair of the PKK Mobilization Team Hj. Mimi. On that occasion, ChiefThe village expressed its thanks to LPkM UMI Makassar for the knowledge and experiencegiven, which is considered very beneficial for efforts to prevent stunting in the village.

The service team consists of Apt. Virsa Handayani, M. Farm., Ns. Akbar Asfar, M.Kep.,and Dr. Muh. Zulkifli, M.M.. This program is a real form of community empowerment throughlocal food innovation to improve children's health while strengthening nutritional securityfamily in Sanrobone Village.
