
UMI Strengthens the Entrepreneurship Spirit of Santri through Islamic Boarding School Cooperatives
Makassar โ Indonesian Muslim University (UMI) through the Community Service Institute (LPkM) is implementing a Community Service Program (PkM) in the form of assistance in strengthening entrepreneurship in the Santri Cooperative
Tahfidz Al-Qur'an Islamic Boarding School (PPTQ) Raudhatul Jannah, Makassar. This program is led by Dr. Juhri, S.S., M. Hum. with Nurfadila, S.E., M.Si. and Dr. Jamaluddin, S.Pd.I., M.E.,and involving students as part of the implementation of the Tri Dharma of Higher Education.
The activity aims to increase the capacity of students in managing cooperatives through strengthening management, financial literacy, digital marketing, entrepreneurship and the use of technology. According to Dr. Juhri, Islamic boarding schools don't just print
hafidz of the Qur'an and preachers, but also need to develop an entrepreneurial spirit so that students are able to create business opportunities and support the economic independence of Islamic boarding schools.

The program is implemented through five integrated training materials, including Entrepreneurship, Bookkeeping, Digital Marketing, Cooperative Management, and Technology Implementation. Participants are equipped with the ability to prepare simple financial reports, utilize digital media for promotions, understand modern cooperative governance, and operate technology-based administration systems.
This activity supports the vision of PPTQ Raudhatul Jannah as an institution that produces generations of Hafiz Al-Qur'an, Da'i, and Entrepreneurs. Through this assistance, it is hoped that the student cooperative will become an entrepreneurial learning laboratory
which is able to strengthen the character, business skills and economic independence of students.ย

The collaboration between UMI and PPTQ Raudhatul Jannah is a form of synergy between universities and Islamic boarding schools in building superior human resources. LPkM UMI hopes that this training and technology-based Islamic boarding school cooperative empowerment model can become a sustainable example and be replicated in other Islamic boarding schools in supporting community development based on education, economics and technology.
