
Innovation of Perkelorat (Moringa Candy) Child-Friendly and Fiber-Rich Additional Nutritional Supplement in Paddinging Village, Takalar Regency
DevotionThis was carried out in Paddinging Village, Takalar Regency for PKK mothers with the title "Innovation of Perkelorat (Perkelorat) Child-Friendly and Fiber-Rich Additional Supplement".
The UMI Faculty of Pharmacy (FF) team, led by Faradiba with members Mrs. Rezki Amriati and Mr. Zaina, introduced low-calorie, fiber-rich Moringa candy (Perkelorat), funded by the UMI Community Service Institute (LPKM).
Initially, the team informed about the benefits of moringa and its components, including soft fiber for digestion and stevia leaves as a low-calorie sweetener, which is safe for children and diabetics, highlighting its role in preventing stunting due to its nutritional value. This was followed by practical training on making perfume and attractive packaging, which was shown directly to the PKK women.
Participants, PKK women, asked several questions regarding Perkelorat production. Mrs. Sadariah, Chair of the PKK expressed her gratitude for the contribution of FF-UMI lecturers in creating Moringa candy and emphasized the importance of maintaining this activity to increase the knowledge and skills of PKK mothers in the village.
