LPMD UMI Holds Working Meeting
UMI Makassar โ Indonesian Muslim University (UMI) continues to make efforts to improve systems, revamp the organization and increase institutional capacity and human resources in order to realize UMI's mission towards becoming a World Class University (WCU), including increasing the role of the UMI Community Service and Da'wah Institute (LPMD) as the bearer of one of the Dharmas of the Tri Dharma of Higher Education, namely Community Service, which is one of the strategic institutions in efforts to empower human resources and increase motivation and participation of the academic community in implementing community service programs and program development. research-based community service, regional potential and community needs, this was conveyed by the Chancellor of UMI, Prof. Dr. Hj. Masrurah Mokhtar, MA before opening the UMI LPMD Working Meeting which took place in the UMI LPMD Office hall, UMI Tower 3rd floor (19/3).
The former Dean of the Faculty of Letters for two periods hopes that this working meeting will produce a work program formulation in accordance with UMI's vision and mission which also accommodates the social changes that have occurred in society which has become increasingly complex in recent times as well as community service programs carried out by lecturers and students that meet criteria or quality standards that can substantially provide added value both in the aspects of deepening and developing science and technology as well as aspects of benefit to society.
Present at the event was Deputy Chancellor I Prof. Dr. H. Syahnur Said, MS., Chair of LPMD UMI Prof. Dr. H.Salim Basalamah, SE., MSi., Secretary of LPMD UMI Drs. H. Abd. Rauf Assagaf, M.Pd, Head of KKN Ir. Kadir Salim, MT and Head of the Head of the Center, Dr. Ir. Hj. Netty Said, MP.
Meanwhile, Chairman of LPMD UMI Prof.Dr. H.Salim Basalamah, SE., M.Si said that the activity which was attended by 42 people was attended by officials within the UMI LPMD and Faculty Leaders within the scope of UMI. This activity will last for two days, 19 to 20 March 2015. The first day will present resource persons to obtain input for enrichment in the commission session later and on the second day there will be commission and plenary discussions.
