
LPkM UMI carries out community service activities in Pitusunggu Village for PKK mothers
Community Service Activities (PKM) is one form of Higher Education Tridharma activity. This activity was funded by the Community Service Institute (LPkM) of the Indonesian Muslim University.
The service team from the Faculty of Pharmacy, UMI, headed by Mrs. Dr. apt., Andi Emelda, S.Si., MSi, with members Mrs. apt. Irma Santi, S. Farm, and apt. A. Hazrawati. S.Farm., M.Farm carried out a PKM activity for PKK women from Pitusunggu Village, Ma'rang District, Pangkep Regency. The activity was held on Wednesday, 23/10/2024 with the activity theme "Empowerment of the PKK Group in Pitusunggu Village, Ma'rang District, Pangkep Regency through Innovation in Making "Jelly Drinkโ Health Drink Based on Bugis Ginseng Leaves (Talinum Paniculatum. Gaernt) Increases Body Enduranceโ
Nowadays, modern drinks are in great demand by people, both children, young people and the elderly. The "Jelly drink" drink is an innovation made based on ginseng leaves (Talinum paniculatum. Gaernt). The leaves of this plant have antioxidant, antibacterial and immunomodulatory properties. A jelly drink using ginseng leaves ย is a product that combines the benefits of ginseng leaves and the ย freshness of the jelly texture. The sweet taste of jelly comes from stevia leaves. So this drink becomes a healthy drink for the community.
In this activity, participants are asked to complete a pre-test and post-test to assess the participant's level of understanding.
Chair of the PKK of Pitusunggu Village, Ma'rang District, Pangkep Regency, Andi Melisa Hadijah welcomed this activity. This activity is beneficial for PKK mothers. PKK women are also very enthusiastic and willing to cultivate and make drinks."jelly drink"to be commercialized.
