LPMD UMI Holds KKN Provisioning Number 52

In an effort to prepare students to be able to carry out KKN/PPMD in the field properly and correctly so that the implementation of KKN/PPMD can achieve its goals, while increasing sensitivity to various development problems and strategies for finding solutions, the UMI Community Service and Da'wah Institute (LPMD) carries out Regular KKN training at UMI campus 1 for 8 days. This was conveyed by the Secretary of LPMD UMI, Drs. H. M. Rauf Assagaf, M.PD, in the work room accompanied by the Head of KKN Center, Ir. H.Abd.Kadir Salim, MT after attending the opening of the KKN briefing by the Chancellor of UMI, Prof.Dr. Hj. Masrurah Mokhtar, MA in the Unitar Hall (28/6).

Meanwhile, UMI Chancellor Prof. Dr. Hj. Masrurah Mokhtar, MA in her speech hoped that the participating students would be disciplined and diligent in participating in KKN training activities as a provision to increase practical knowledge and skills to be able to work with the community at KKN/PPMD locations. The Real Work Lecture Program (KKN) is intended as a form of social responsibility for the UMI academic community to contribute to improving community welfare. For this reason, it is hoped that students will really use the time during KKN to study with the community, gain experience.

He continued, KKN is basically the implementation of theories learned on campus. As a form of UMI's contribution in implementing one of the tri dharmas of higher education, namely community service as an educational institution and da'wah towards improving community welfare, two Real Work Lectures are held every year.

UMI LPMD Secretary Rauf Assagaf added that the KKN provision activity combining the superior heart enlightenment program was carried out in 13 waves and attended by 1,080 participants. The material provided is general and special material presented by faculty leaders. The material provided during the socialization of UMI's vision and mission, social morals in society, application of science and technology and imtaq, Islamic management, wirid dhikr and its benefits, assessment and reporting system, enlightenment of the heart in relation to PPM, procedures for preparing programs, Islamic material, da'wah methods, aqidah, sharia and morals guidelines, and event management techniques.

Meanwhile, the Head of the UMI LPMD Community Service Center said that debriefing by providing information about conditions, potential and problems, both physical, social and economic in the context of field activities, was carried out for two days (participants were accommodated) for each batch and would be placed in locations determined by the government and assisted villages at UMI, especially those spread across South Sulawesi.
