FINANCIAL LITERACY TRAINING FAN ACCESS TO CAPITAL FOR WOMEN MICRO BUSINESSES IN PADANGLAMPE VILLAGE

PKM FEB UMI Increases Financial Literacy and Access to Capital for Women Who Do Micro Businesses in Padanglampe Village

UMI FEB lecturers have implemented a women's economic empowerment program through the activity "Financial Literacy Training and Access to Capital for Women Who Do Micro Businesses" Thursday, 16 October 2025. This program was led by Muhammad Abduh, SE., M.Ak., CA and Hukma Ratu Purnama, SE., M.Si as members and targeted the PKK Women's group in Padanglampe Village.

This activity is designed to increase women's ability to manage business finances effectively and broaden their understanding of access to formal financing.

The training took place in the Padanglampe Village Office Hall and was attended by dozens of participants who were enthusiastic about learning financial recording, budget planning, and using digital financial literacy applications. The participants were also provided with an understanding of strategies for obtaining legal capital through formal financial institutions such as banks, and were given education regarding the risks of informal loans which often harm micro business actors. The hands-on approach helps participants get to know financial technology as a means of supporting daily business operations.

The results of the training showed a significant increase in participants' understanding and skills in managing business finances. Around 80% of participants began to be able to apply simple financial records and were more confident in planning business capital needs. This activity also strengthens business networks among female MSME actors, encouraging the formation of community support in developing independent businesses in the village.

"This activity certainly has a positive impact on women's economic empowerment and improving family welfare. In the future, we from the service team encourage further assistance and collaboration with local financial institutions so that participants can more easily access safe and sustainable capital facilities," said Muhamamd Abduh as chairman.

This program is expected to be the foundation for strengthening financial literacy and the growth of women-based MSMEs in Padanglampe Village.
